A lot of people seemed to think so. I don’t know but I do know that the number of times either side weren’t off side was pretty low and I think we may have come off slightly worse from that laxness in the officiating.

How has Jacob Jones been doing for you guys?

He’s a decent player and it was indicative of how our brave new dawn as a part time team was received that he was one of a large number of players who raced for the door. Not easy to see quite how he gets into the Leigh 1st team but still pretty early in his career and for us, whilst not a world beater, he’s definitely an asset.

I seriously hope AFC Wimbledon have kept the receipt for The Cherry Red Records Stadium, because yet again, the turnstile counter appears to be broken and they should be looking for a full refund or replacement there.
This is the only reason I can think of as to why the London Broncos haven't announced the Gate for the Swinton game.......unless of course it was embarrassingly low, pointing to another "adept business move" by Hockey Boy as being nowt more than an attempt to hide how much out of his depth he is?
As for this week's cup game. Anyone else on the irony of playing ant a 4th tier union club after Hughes bullcrap statement about the move away from a 2nd tier union ground?

Whatever the crowd was for Swinton (certainly not great) it was boosted by a fairly large contingent of away fans.

Credit to them, it was a pretty good number - more than I've seen Swinton bring previously at Ealing.

The crowd was a lot bigger than it looked. Most were queuing for food I assume !

I wasn't there, but that was a small crowd even we you add in those we can't see in the West Stand. Whatever the Broncos did to get a very solid crowd for the opening match of the season, they have totally failed to follow-up with.

Not many in the West Stand. When will the club realise that putting all their (admittedly very limited) efforts into flogging lounge tickets is a waste of time.

Yes they did seem to bring quite a few this time around and plonked themselves in the stand opposite the half way line ( very sensible). This kind of split what LB fans there were and left the guy who leads the chants a bit more on his own than usual. He gave it a good go though.

It was the raison d'etre for the move to Wimbledon. We moved because we got little if any money from corporates. Now it seems that the focus is on making sure the owner and his Son are surrounded by sycophants and "Uber fans" willing to pay a up to grand a year on corporates and unsponsored player shirt auctions at the seasons end, whilst ignoring the 9,000 empty blue and yellow seats at 10 games with maybe another few games at 5th tier football or 4th tier Rugby grounds.
The list of excuses for failure to improve ANYTHING at the club since 2007 is long and ongoing, but the reality is it can be summed up in two words.
