You should have gone. Surely they could have put you in one of the three empty stands we have!

Don’t know but it seemed like a decent sized crowd

Yes I thought so as well. ‘Decent’ of course being a relative term. About 75 in corporate, 75 Widnes and Bassett brings along about a dozen from west warriors. Seemed a lively atmosphere. Quite a good age range as well. Suspect the bring a friend for free played a part.

Those drilled into touch were pretty deliberate energy saving. And all were bang on or insude the 10 mtr, so made us come put 90mtrs up field. What I was talking about was when they went into the air, much much better than us in where it went, along with a much better chase.
Agree had they got another score when it was 30-12 then it could have been interesting. What was pleasing was support play when a break was made.
Discipline was pretty good, I think in total whole game 6 penalties, we got rightly caught offside a couple of times. Credit to both teams and good comms not 1 set restart
Did anyone see what the yellow card was for? I missed it, it was TJ who came on..
Crowd I was wrong side to do a rough count 6,,-700 I think not far off

I'm sure they were deliberate and the intent was to pin us and try and fatigue us, however its pretty redundant if you do that and then just let the other team roll through you, which I felt we did pretty easily. Regardless of intent, I'd be pretty disappointed if my team were kicking into touch whilst in good ball inside the first twenty minutes, but hey, I'm not a coach!

Couldn't make out what the sin bin was for. I'm assuming a high shot or messing about in the ruck?

It must have been much higher than that- very few empty seats in the blocks around where I was sat

Let's see if they publish the gate figure.
Still nothing published for the Barrow, Halifax or Whitehaven games.....but I think it's fair to predict with Bradford and Keighly to go that were going to miss Dave's 5,000 a game target by well over 80%. I wonder whose fault that is? 8)

For once Bongser will back Orangeman. Leigh Women got 1,301 in attendance today. Plough Lane has been a disaster.

Still, for the diehards that saw the Broncos game, a fine day at the (spacious) office today.

Widnes forum seemed to think it was for a late tackle

I certainly thought it was Albert's strongest performance in a while. Didn't do big minutes but had the impact we all love seeing from him. I wonder if he's been told to reign the offloads in a bit? There were a couple of occasions where he was looking to force it, but thought better of it.

Blimey BT, not surprised we won if we had most of Turkey turning out for us!! How did we slip that past the Ref? :D

Just for the record.......there are highlights of the game on Youtube now and I would guestimate fewer than 400 at BEST and if I am truthful, 300 would be generous.
Unless there are fans elsewhere than in the ground other than that one stand....you decide (these were the best images I could get from the cameraman who was obviously told not to show the stand......)
Image

That is P155 POOR! 3,034 was the average for London hosting Widnes in SL up to 2014. ANYONE who makes excuses for 90% of those fans not bothering other than to squarely blame Hughes needs their bumps felt!
