Fans forums do not really work in my experience.
I think with the one at Ealing. The only thing that came out of it was, that the club flogged a fair number of season tickets that night.
Th Point of the fans forum would be for the club to field questions about the "long term" plan for the club as alluded to by Hughes in his rambling incoherent statement (written by Monkey I'd guess)
My questions would be specifically about this flannel.
Plough Lane, or to give it the correct name of the Cherry Red Records stadium, is going to give us the opportunity to develop a crowd over a period of time that eventually will see the Club become self sufficient, or very close to being so.
5000 fans in 3 years has to be the target. That is where we need to be and we have got the best chance of achieving that in the Wimbledon area and with AFC Wimbledon Football Club as partners in my opinion.
Q. What is it that has happened since 2009, when you and the club were told that 5k was the bare minimum average (IN SUPERLEAGUE) and yet you continued to ignore the need to communicate with existing fans as well as reaching out to new ones?
Q. What is it about Wimbledon and SW London that you think offers us a better opportunity that West London where the core of our support live?
Q. How many times were the corporate facilities at Ealing (a functioning Wedding and conference venue in its own right) not sufficient for our needs?
Q. Are there consequences when the 5k target isn't hit? (rewards as well if it is)
The only part of his opus with a specific target is attendances, so he has opened Pandora's box in my eyes. The rest is waffle about how "we the fans' can help, after years of us not being a concern......5k average means 55k through the gate paying a million a year.....
....to put that into perspective, 2006, (minus the double header) delivered 56,541 fans through the doors over 13 games.....it was the last time we got over 55k in and included 2 visits from Wigan and Bradford (as well as castleford)
Hey. Monkey boy reads this forum and then vents on Facebook. Maybe next time he's drunk we'll get the answers with no need for a forum!
