Piggy Fletcher, St Helens, once Liverpool City/Huyton RL coach, desperate for kit, made a set of jerseys out of coal bags, which shrunk in an early game in heavy rain, not sure if he dyed them in a colour lol, too many here are lightweights lol, Rugby League was always the working man's sport, even a St Helens Chairman for years was just a primary school head!

Newtown Jets were known as the bluebags for most of their existence because their very first set of jerseys were made from old sacks repurposed and dyed blue. Not sure the club is at that stage just yet.

We are Deffinetley not at that stage! but with the Incompetence of The RFL, and it's new funding, I wonder how many First Division Clubs. may get close!
