I'd get off the 65 bus just over Kew Bridge and pop in to the 2 pubs right there by the bus stops They've gone now. One was a Fullers pub. I just can't recall the names of them.
Then I'd stroll up to The Royal Oak and meet mates in there for a couple more, before taking my place on the Ealing Road terrace.

I think it was the best ground we played at. Lots of good memories of when we played there, the best one was when Steve Cooper (Homer) were mascots for a midweek game against Huddersfield. It was a red hot day so Steve and i decided to sit by the players entrance and have a cigarette and a beer after the game kicked off, we suddenly became famous when the Sky cameras filmed us.
How terribly unprofessional (and how much did those Buck & Dusty outfits stink)
