Beware the ides of March. : Sun Feb 27, 2022 8:06 pm
Only 2 games for the club now in the next 34 days, so plenty of time for Coleman to firstly be given some new targets/KPIs by the boss.1. Fitness. Again we've capitulated at the end of a game....this needs addressing.
2. Tactics. From what I've read, Coleman likes defence work and we do seem fairly robust there, but it would seem that all that early tackling comes back to bite us in the last 20. Fitness I've mentioned, but why not work on early offence too?
3. We need a half and we need a mongrel forward.
If we lose to York at home, we have a single home tie in April (bulls) before Dewsbury in May. Coleman needs to understand the direct correlation between results, fan interest and his wages, so quite simply.....if by 7pm on May 1st we don't have at least 4 points in the bag, he should be fired
As for the off field stuff. I'd drop the prices to £10.00 for the rest of the season with kids free, spend some money on face painters and posters and I'd open the doors for free for the visit of Dewsbury. If it costs is £10,000 of gate receipts then so be it, but it's a might win game.....and if we have kids stuff, a band etc.....we might just get another chance to make a good impression!
May 1st is 9 weeks away....get planning now. Book the band. Get sign off on free entry. Book the kids entertainment. Get NucknDusty ready. Dare I say reach out to a cheerleading Troup? Email every lapsed address we have asking them to wear their oldest broncos/crusaders/Fulham shirt....give free tickets by the bookload to every pub in the area......do everything you can to get 3,000 bodies through the door and make sure that they enjoy/remember it.......
Odds are both Colemans coaching CV and crowds will continue to plummet, but the reality is, another reboot at Wimbledon in 2022 is needed, because the first one went off like a dud firework
