Rise like Lions after slumber In unvanquishable number-- Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you-- Ye are many -- they are few.'
Excellent result....and we've pretty much secured our 2nd tier status in early July which is a vast improvement. Also look to have improved our average attendance, especially at Ebbsfleet so now all that remains is the quandary of how to get folk in significant numbers to Plough Lane?
It was a great result today. Toulouse really did not offer too much and were well beaten. With our run of home games coming up, surely the playoffs await.
Missed the game through life getting in the way. Delighted with the result getting sick of Toulouse so well pleased we put them to the sword. If I was a betting man I’d wonder if our bulldog management team were looking really hard at Ebbsfleet as opposed to Wimbledon- the fact that it’s not in London notwithstanding and that it’s equidistant from where we are now. You heard it here first.
Leigh are my team of the year Bongser. The pleasure they gave me with that ‘idiosyncratic’ re branding and now one great performance after another whilst the big fish flounder about. St Helens seem to have the tedious ability to time it just right so my guess is no grand final for Leigh but the challenge cup looks on.
Good result and a decent turn out too. It does seem an easier venue to get to for many. An hour's drive for me and parked five minutes from the ground. My wife and son came (we were all season ticket holders at Ealing). My wife commented how much more character the ground has than PL and how it was good to see a lot of families there
Halifax losing today leaves us just a point behind them, although their points difference is vastly superior to ours. Surely they are now looking over their shoulders at us. It is all to play for.
Given the number of home games we have left we may have a bit of a sniff now. Some hot games at Wimblèdon might sort out a few of our opponents who won't be used to the travel. A couple of teams who turned up there in late summer last year seemed to wilt.
