About 2 years ago, Quins were looking at Wigan's academy side for potential recruitment, and I remember Ian saying to me he was really keen on a young speedy winger and wanted to sign him. However the coaching staff disagreed, thinking he was too small.

Don't worry, he'll be at Leigh in a year or so, once Nobby works out how to get another Aussie under the quota.
