Surely this can’t be allowed to go on any more with Watson - we’re a shambles and his constant changes in selection particularly at full back and half back don’t allow for any building of cohesion. When we have much vaunted academy why is there an obsession with signing 30 somethings? I thought signing Connor was a bad move and have seen nothing to change my mind - I might be wrong but his presence seems to have coincided with Lolehea losing form. He doesn’t know who to pick from his big pool of players and we have gone so far back. He has criticised players in public which never ends well and leads to the type of performance we have tonight.

We are a side without any ambition or will to win and worse than that we don't know how to play football, Did anyone se an offload from the Giants tonight , I can't remember one.
They are an embarrassment in attack and a disgrace in defence, Surely Watson will go after tonight and take half that team with him , God knows what hes going to try next.

I've said everything i need to say already and sadly it is all proving correct. He has his first choice spine out and that is the result. There is only one change that is required, Watson has to go. He has no idea what a good player looks like, the longer Ken waits, the more deadwood we are going to get landed with.

One simple question. Is a coach who thinks that Olly Russell, Nathan Peats, and Adam Milner belong in the spine of a superleague side, and isn't even looking to recruit in those areas capable of building a side that is anything other than relegation fodder?

There are wider implications to this in that interest / enthusiasm for supporting and going to games is dropping and will have a long term impact on an already small support base. I think the club needs a complete refresh and an injection of real enthusiasm and engagement with the town and communities but that will have more chance of succeeding with a competitive team that is enjoyable to watch - which is not what we have now, the team last night looked physically weak, which we know they arent, so indicates a complete lack of determination and willingness to put full effort in so if that continues they will see less and less bums on seats despite a drive to get a record crowd against Leeds in August - now that's a real joke!!

It's fairly obvious what is happening. Watson insists on his process driven drivel which forces most players to play in a way that is against their natural instincts and they probably don't enjoy. When things are going well and the results are there, they will put up with it, but when, like now, it's going pearshaped they wont play a boring unattractive style of rugby that they don't enjoy when it is bearing no fruit.

Sadly what will happen, is that all the good players will leave for decent clubs and we will be left with the players who need that process driven crap to make themselves look like semi decent rugby players. I am willing to bet that Russell, Bibby, Peats, Senior, Marsters and Milner won't be going anywhere and Watson will sign more dross into the sinking ship in a fruitless search for players who are prepared to buy into his crappy style.

End it now Ken before he saddles us with more crap players for the next 2 or 3 years that will end any hopes of success during that time frame

Hats off to the players & coaching staff over the last two games, especially the Catalans game, nobody gave us a chance - including me with how things have been going but that was a tremendous result.

Followed it up with a comprehensive result against Wakefield who have just been on a massive high after beating Leeds Rhinos & Wigan Warriors.

Having Jerry back has made a massive difference for me, he's just a beast of a player, takes the pressure off the forwards making those hard yards when coming in off the wing, his wing play is fantastic & its a joy to see him back in Fartown colours, I just hope he can stay injury free now, earn that 1 year contract for next year - imagine having Jerry & Swift as our wingers next year!

Now rest those bodies up, we've a massive game in 2 weeks live on Sky Sports vs Hull FC

We could have Billy Boston and Martin Offiah as our wingers next year and we would still be woeful with our current spine. Theo Fages is going, who when he has played has been by far the best half. Go look at the stats for Olly Russell on the superleague site:

Tries : 0
Try assists 1:
Clean Breaks : 0
Average gain: 2.9 metres per carry

This is a half back watson thinks is a mainstay of our side, and i haven't seen any moves to sign others. A guy who simply tips the ball on to the player outside him or inside to a forward and puts the odd kick in. Add Milner and Peats to the mix and nothing is going to change here. Wow we have beaten Wakefield twice and Castlefield twice and admittedly got two good wins against Catalans all year. We are totally and utterly knackered for the foreseeable future in my opinion, and we don't even have quota spots available to make any changes.
Listening to what Watson said post match i would imagine that McQueen is going to be leaving at the end of the year too which continues our run of losing our best player at ehe nd of every year (last year it was Leutele and Levi and before that Edwards and Sezar).

Sorry but i find it very difficult to have any enthusiasm at all for the hole i see that we are in due to our horrible recruitment and drubbing championship wakefield doesnt change my mind
