Since then we've won 15 trophies and 4 or 5 other final appearences in that time so he probably does get a bit bitter about it. Too close for my liking - our form is too hot and cold to make a safe prediction!

why would he be bitter with you if he turned you down? Surely he'd be annoyed with himself.

I just meant he probably resents the success we have had - that potentially he could have led.
