I disagree completely. We can win without Brough, we have shown this in the last few games. Indeed our upturn in fortunes occurred without Brough on the pitch. He is as often a gamewinner as a gameloser, he has lost us games this season by being relied upon, and shooting his mouth off, ending up in the sin bin and costing his team dear. So , his contribution to games aside, which i would argue has been 'balanced' this year (good performances where he has controlled games with kicking offset by bad performances where his ill discipline has cost us) he is now a bad value for money. You have to remember that when you base your game around a player and then he gets sent off/loses his cool this has a MASSIVE effect on the gameplan.
Brough is quite simply poor value for money. He is unreliable and losing his skills, and i would much rather base our gameplan around younger and more reliable players even if they may not be as good as Brough when he is at his best, and stays on the pitch, which these days is pretty rare. He has served what 6 games in suspensions so far this year, and been sin binned at least twice i remember at crucial times in games.
I would much rather risk Hastings, who may well prove to be a great singing, than keep Brough a known quantity who is ageing and has probably the worst discipline this season in superleague.
