To be honest, it could of been 60 points to 6 if Barrow had converted all their tries. I hope the lad who went off with the leg injury isnt too badly injured as he was having a decent game.

Yeah hope the lad is alright, looked like it might be a bad injury . Was pretty pleased with Barrow's performance today, Huddersfield just couldnt handle us in the 2nd half.

BARROW TO STRONG FOR YOUNG GIANTS

A young Huddersfield Giants side went down by went down by 48 points to 6 against Barrow in Sunday’s pre-season game. After a competitive first half Barrow over ran the Giants in the second period.

The Giants took the lead in the game with a try from Jacob Fairbank, which was converted by Gregg McNally and the young side were competitive until the break trailing by 14 points to 6.

Barrow’s experience and size proved too much for the youngsters in the second half and the Cumbrian side ended the 80 minutes running in ten tries. There were also two injury blows for Paul Cook’s team with Gregg McNally leaving the field with a badly broken nose and Keiran Murphy stretchered off with a suspected broken ankle.

The Giants got a lot of stick for the side that played Saints last season but it really was not that inexperienced. The side that day would have beaten Barrow comfortably. The team was

The Barrow board found out Sunday morning exactly what team Huddersfield were sending and trust me they werent happy after (yes i'll say it again because it's true!) being told there would be 5/6 big names in it mixed win with the squad that was sent, so yes Huddersfield have gone back on there word whether you like it or not GiantJo, what has happened in the last week with the incident has sod all to do with this matter, it's just a excuse. And what exactly do you know about Des Johnston apart from the $hite that get's written on these board's? Because he's not a yes man or brown nose he get's called a arrogant trouble maker!! Good luck for the coming season, you never know we might meet in the Challenge Cup!!
