Just found another article saying we have offered Luetele a new contract and are hopeful he will accept.
The centre we are linked with is Jake Bibby which with his Salford connections sounds like the sort of player Watson would look to sign.

Cooper would be a very astute signing.
I wonder if those who are against this signing were also the ones complaining when we signed hill- and look what a signing he turned out to be!!!! I think there’s room for cooper in the squad, and English trout, Wilson and greenwood.
Jake Bibby I’m not particularly too bothered about either way- the fact Leroy is getting picked above wardle atm - and the fact that Leroy has rolled back the years in terms of his performances suggests that he is still worth another years contract to me whilst we “try” to keep wardle on the field for more than a month at a time!
I was under the impression Roberts still has a year on his contract so those who are suggesting we “get rid” might be disappointed.
Ashworth should be coming to his prime , but makes too many errors for me and happy to see him go. Equally if he’s cheap enough he’s decent cover and can play for a spot

Cudjoe may want to retire in which case Bibby would be a good replacement as he can also cover wing so can spell Jerry in potentially his last year and cover for Wardle’s injuries.
Someone posted on here Roberts to Newcastle so maybe we are looking to offload.
Ashworth is great with ball in hand but not so great in defence. He is still better than Mason who looks so slow and a walking penalty machine due to his lazy tackle attempts.

Bibby looks like a winger to me, and i would be disappointed if we signed him as a starting centre, but he's a good winger. I will put my hand up and say that i was one who was totally against Hill and was wrong. We now have him and he is signed for next year too. Cooper as replacement for Hill, yes, Cooper alongside Hill as starting props, no. Cooper is a high profile signing, not just cover and will expect to be playing regularly, i don't want to see any of our young lads relegated in the pecking order.

Bibby is a good centre solid defensively .
Anyway looks like rumours linking us with cooper are wide of the mark
