As for the other stuff Bodgey I am not altogether clued up on this one.
Connor was a funny one the guys who informed me were two guys from Hull who told us that he had signed for them.this was two days before it became public.
As for the agent business I have no interest in any of them but his name came out while we were playing golf with these guys in Seahouses up in your neck of the woods.I suspect that you know who that agent was.if you have heard the whole story,.

Bodgy was deemed as not as important to the team not asking for more money.

Connor went because our chief exec thought he could sign him on cheaply and that if club came in for him they would have to pay us compensation as such he thought he had Connor over a barrel. Which unfortunately they didn’t . When our chief exec realised that he tried to get Connor to stay by offering extra money but buy then he had signed a contract with Hull and we would have had to pay £100k to get him back when we could have just offered him a decent salary in the first place.


As for Mason the fact that he was an booty is irrelevant. Trying to sack him unfairly was. Failing to send documents to court and ignoring court orders which led to extra costs being awarded against the club is unforgivable.

Not to mention the raised eyebrows when Mason's salary at the club was revealed, and also the issues around the Kopczak signing.

If my memory serves me correctly Connor at the time was still a junior and the club appealed to the R L Board and were awarded a pretty decent sum.I am not 100% sure at this time how much as I stated earlier it was strange there was quite a kerfuffle over the whole business..
I will try and find my old files and get back on this and other things related to it among other pieces of info..I dont hold out much hope though as I will have to sort through 2.000 discs.

No we would have got money for him as a junior but because they signed him with a specific timing we lost out on that . It was something ridiculous like if he signed on 30 th September we would have got money but his contract started on 1st October so we got nothing.

the controversy was that Hull signed Connor WITHOUT CONNOR ACTUALLY SIGNING A CONTRACT.,
