I'm looking forward to seeing Fulton tonight in C&G
FULTON LOOKING FORWARD TO GIANTS DEBUT
New signing Liam Fulton has settled in well to life in Huddersfield and is looking forward to making his debut on Friday night as the Giants take on Celtic Crusaders (kick off 7.30pm).
Speaking to Giantsrl.com Fulton said:
“I am feeling really good and just getting to know the boys. Really it is now all about Friday and I can’t wait to get out there and play.”
Fulton who has joined from Wests arrived in good shape after training with the Tigers prior to joining the Claret and Gold:
“I did a lot of training with Wests Tigers before I left Australia so I feel good. Now I am here it feels like I have done the right thing and it is all about putting in a nice performance in the first game.”
The 24 year old has been following the progress of Super League and aware of the threat of the Crusaders:
“The Crusaders have been unlucky on a couple of occasions and so far they have done a pretty good job. They have got some good players and they are now beginning to get their combinations working. They will be ready to play and we can’t go into the game half-hearted because if we do they will roll us over. We have got to ensure that we put in a good performance and hopefully if we do we will get the result.”
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown on Liam Fulton's debut: "He's definitely going to be a good player for us.
"He made a few errors but showed some good touches and what people must remember is he's in a new continent with new team-mates he'd not met before and working under a new coach for the first time in his career.
"He will adjust and what we will try to do is give him a stable position in the team to allow him to play at his best."
Difficult to judge him on tonight's game it was like a training session TBH, but he did score his first try and I'm sure he'll learn from tonight, good to get a game under his belt.
