Next 3 Games and Lam injury : Sun Mar 10, 2024 10:47 am
Leigh fans, a Salford fan here.

Just had a couple of questions, how is Lam? Is it just a deep cut or this there an underlying injury, he looked in a very bad way when he came off against Leeds, hope he recovers quick he is great to watch.

The next 3 games are massive after Leighs start to the season, even with injuries against Hull, Leigh must start as big favourites, Salford and Wigan present stiffer tests. Got to say the Easter fixture at Salford will be a big crowd and awesome game.

Moylan has not impressed that much up to now, will GOB cover halfback for Leigh whilst Lam is off? Be interesting to see what happens.

We're still buzzing after Friday and are now Saints focus of anger and frustration with the Red card which was a Red they claim was not, an awful shot from Percival.

I would assume Lam will miss Hull which will give McNamara his chance against his old club.

3 defeats tells its own story on paper but competed well against Saints and Leeds, far from blaming ref but we have had a few 50 50s go against us .

The first 40 was up there with the best I’ve seen from Leigh , totally dominant and if Amones try would have been awarded it should have been game over.

Moylan will come good , but his defence is pretty poor form what I have seen.

That is positive news on Lam, in terms of Leighs defeats then the hooker, prop and now Lam are a huge miss, I do however think out wide there is a lack of pace. We've got Ryan and Norfoaluma to come in who will play against Leigh over Easter, they will transform our team.

Moylan has put in some excellent tackles on Leigh's line. His skills will come good as the weather warms up.

Noted , but you can’t do some good tackles. Overall his defence isn’t what I would expect from an Ex International.

He will come better in general play of that I have no doubt.

My suspicion is that Moylan's defence is no better, or worse than Lachlan Lam's. But Lam benefits from having one of the best second rows in the competition on his edge, and Ricky Leutele at centre.

Truth be told I didn't expect us to be Leeds, the frustration is that the game was there for the taking and now you get the feeling we are chasing results.

You have to think we MUST beat Hull away at least and then the results will come, confidence in getting to Salford at home and then we'll see how we fair against what I predicted will be an all-conquering Pies.

The only teams we didn't have a positive win/loss record against last season were Wigan (lost all), Catalans (lost all), and Salford (lost 2 out of 3). With Salford it is generally a close affair and I suppose the Rowley factor still adds a bit of spice, I've always seen them as a bogey team for us anyway.

3 games in and the Hull game is looking like a must win. Not just for points on the board but for morale.
Will no doubt be a wide open season with not much in the top 8 so every point will be crucial but you can be sure everyone will take points off each other.

Very early on yet , but it wouldn’t be Leigh if it was straight forward.

We are all getting what we have craved for and that’s a competitive team in SL

That is a fair assessment, however I think the neighbours (Pies) are levels above most teams including Saints. Every other team has its weaknesses for Salford its forwards or depth of and as I see it watching Leigh its pace out wide in attack,

Has any video footage emerged of how Lachlan Lam sustained his injury. As far as I know it is a laceration to the thigh. In all the years I have been following rugby league this is the first thigh laceration that I can remember.
