I just can’t process this all and it’s Sunday night. Just watched the game again for the second time on iplayer. With my eldest son who lives down south and got back from a family Majorca holiday today. My heart was still in my mouth and Im mentally exhausted all over again. As I type I’m still shaking my head and smiling in disbelief.
So much to say but just can’t get my thoughts together. Stunning, just bloody stunning

On the way to Wembley we met a number of Leigh fans who were all thoroughly decent people, friendly and respectful. Not a hint of hostility or animosity ...well apart from when Wigan were mentioned!

We were actually staying in the same hotel as the Leigh squad and found ourselves outnumbered by Leopards and to a man and woman they went out of their way to pay their respects for the part we played in a brilliant final. It was appreciated

I was with my daughter and if the two wonderful ladies we were chatting to who were present in 1971 should be reading this......it was a pleasure to meet you. At breakfast the following morning we were still feeling down but your charismatic owner arrived in full Leopard print holding the trophy aloft and even we had to laugh,

If we had to lose to anybody I'm glad it was you.
