Bongser, In September Greg himself uploaded a 'highlights compilation' of his tries and tackles in 2019 and 2020 to Youtube.So I'm guessing he knew then he wouldn't be with us next season, sadly.

On the VT, Ste100 has quoted a longish Q&A between the French organ "Treize Mercado" and DB. The article dated yesterday (Wednesday) sees Derek quoted:

"Our squad is currently 23 and will become 25. Two players have not yet been announced as their club is still involved in the playoffs."

Since, on Tuesday, Craig was announced as the, errm, second 21st player in the squad, who are the missing two and which team (singular) still involved in the play-offs will see two of their number heading to WN7?

Then again, the article (and the need for the French to find someone to translate from Leyth-glais (-Glaze)) could have been based on an interview given quite some time before. We are still left with at least three that we are yet to hear about.

article is much more interesting than about signings. it gives a good summary of the clubs current finances and the values of the various clubs applications for sl compared to our own and who derek thinks might be the winner

Yes SM, it is and Derek gives a very confident and encouraging statement regarding Leigh's financial viability in either division. He does however say:

"I don’t have the information of the other clubs so I can only concentrate on the strong points of my bid and the visible parts of the other bids such as the playing squads at this stage."

We've nearly a month of speculation to go before the projected announcement of the lucky "winner". If delayed, it could be HM ER announcing it at 3pm on the 25th.

The Queen's Speech is usually pre-recorded. Perhaps it already has been!
