It is with sadness that I inform you that Dave died this morning in hospital. As well as being a long-standing Leigh supporter Dave edited the matchday programme for several seasons around the turn of the Century. Though obviously not well he had still been able to attend matches until the lockdown and will be sadly missed by those of us who enjoyed his company for many years at the matches. Brought up in Yorkshire, Dave taught history for many years at Canon Slade school in Bolton and played cricket, with distinction, for Atherton CC in the 70's. Another lovely Leyther has gone.
