ah, i get it now. I thought we might be looking at a quality FB , 2 Quality centres, and maybe a winger. That's no disrespect to any of our current squad. We could/should be keeping an eye out for those NRL players at the start of their season who just can't quite get in their first team, and need regular game time.

Until I see what you are suggesting in the recruitment of new player's Maurice I am somewhat of a loss as to what the strategy actually is at the club, so much effort was put into influencing the selection panel to choose Leigh and it is now approaching 2 full calender months since we were given the nod, at that time we had assembled a squad to compete in the Championship so the expectation was the vacant spots would be filled with "better" quality player's for the job in hand, with all due respect to our 2 signings in Lewis Tierney and Tyrone McCarthy I do not consider they are the leader's we so desperately need.

Between the lines, and bearing in mind we do not know if fans can pay and watch so budgets will be restrictive plus we have at least one hand tied behind our backs with late inclusion - policy seems to be 1) one year deal/play for a longer deal 2) If nothing is better than we have wait 3) If nothing comes along we give it our best crack and go into 2022 cashed up wherever we play.

I am with Cokey, we start and keep a couple of quota open for players not making NRL first grade who will be looking at SL for 2022.

How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?

Wow Harry....We`ve had a whopping two months to finalise our squad, bearing in mind most available players would`ve already been signed. Who do you suggest we sign?

First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

One strategy that I approve of is not to panic and fill spots, especially quota spots, with players that will not provide improvement to our best 17. Tierney and McCarthy are proven players who will compete well in SL, will not let us down and will not have broken the bank. Sensible signings for me.
I am with you thinking we still need some quality additions but not that the “2 full calendar months” is too slow.

The central funding was made clear before the start of play. Let’s stop making excuses and get on with it.

I see on the Facebook Leigh fans forum that Lafai has signed for Parramater Eels to play NSW Cup, shame we lost out on that one.

There aren’t many players going to move around the world with young families for a 1 year deal with the relegation favourites unfortunately, even if I do agree with the reasons behind doing it.
