Sammut would have played at Dewsbury, but for picking up a virus. I could be wrong, but I do not think he has been enjoying it as much since.

Are you saying his signing is contentious H?

First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

No player of Sammuts ability should be happy sat on the sidelines so i can’t imagine he will be having a great time so far
BUT
Reynolds and Woods have been outstanding so far and deserve to be first choices in the big games. His signing was/is a great one for Leigh, and so is the fact that right now we have two players that are performing well enough to keep him on the side. Reynolds and Woods have far surpassed what I expected or even hoped for. Well done to both of them
It’s now up to Sammut to stake his claim on the training pitch and take his chances when they come along.

I am so happy that i've been proved wrong about Reynolds. That guy has been absolutely immense so far,and if he keeps going at this rate,he'll be a top half back. Well done Ben.

The lad has realised he is most definitely in the last chance saloon, knuckled down, lost a stone, and currently the results are paying dividends.

No-one can argue that Ben Reynolds has taken the responsibility of his vice captaincy very seriously and he is delivering in spades. I always thought he had it and he is now proving it. Credit JD, he can obviously see it too.
We now have a 90% kicker in the squad (Ryan Shaw) - Ben comes up with 100% from the touchline against Batley. All credit to him - all the very best for the season Ben, I for one am backing you to deliver and I have total confidence in you ability.
We can debate endlessly who the regular scrum half will be but already Ben Reynolds is my choice for stand off - all season.

I also had my doubts about Reynolds ability to really drive a team around but so far this season he has looked better than I’ve ever seen him before. It helps to be behind a strong pack but he is running more and putting some great balls outside.
Woods for me is also top notch. Sammut and Riddy have their work cut out.
