This is going to be a very tough game, because although newly promoted, they like us, held Toronto to 14 points and have won at Bradford, plus in their last home match put over 50 points against Barrow. Crowds are improving and for the first time this season thee are 3 stands being opened. I believe this is our first visit to Bootham Crescent, but it is a fast surface which should suit us down to the ground. Pownall is back, but should he go to full back to allow Riddy to go back to the halves? Hopefully we will have our Saints contingent back, as we are facing a well coached side by a James Ford.

It won’t be fast on Sunday. Heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday in York and Bootham Crescent pitch is similar to what Hilton Parks pitch used to be like when it rained.
York are a real credit to the Championship and to the game, I applaud them for how far they have come and to be such a force not to be taken lightly.
Pownall would have to take the wing for me as we struggle on the edges. DR availability will choose were Riddy plays but I would like to see him back in his position along side Woods, although at present needs must again.
York are a credit to nobody they have bounced from disaster to disaster, lets wait to see what the next few years bring to describe them as a credit to anything. Great to see them back in York though and really wish them well in becoming a credit to
York are a credit to nobody they have bounced from disaster to disaster, blah, blah, blah
You could substitute "York" for most clubs in both leagues, especially Leigh. I didn't see York begging for players at the end of the season. Yes they've had their fair share of problems like everybody else.

So that makes them a credit? You will note I didn't claim my club to be a credit. York have yo-yo'd between C and C1, had the challenge of being homeless, banned from running reserves and a few hours from being struck off in recent years. I wish them well as York is a great city, and a great away day, plus its RL and we must all stick together
No Jack Ashworth this week, but Aaron Smith back. So, it looks like all four Saints' lads, (Douglas, Smith, Bentley, & Richardson) plus Woods, are our five loan/DR's.

I never said you claimed your club were a credit to anything, but why comment about another club when your and my club (Leigh) have been a shambolic load of sh!!!!te with regards to running a business? Having read your posts over the years I understand your very low levels of expectancy. Your chicken feed of 20, 30, 40 perhaps 50 thousand pound of input probably made you feel important, terribly sad. I'm afraid there are so many ten bob millionaires like yourself, rather than denigrate another club when we are in the mire ourselves try to be a little more supportive.

Sorry Morvan, you have one over me in that I don't know who you are to have a personal pop at you, not that I would stoop so low as belittle anyone who puts their hard earned into our club. FYI and feed your next assault it was the former figure but the motivation wasn't importance more nobody else was putting their hands up at the time. Ten bob millionaire eh, I trust a man of such high morals will expose their true identity following my response, or not.

I suspected that you were loaded 'Maurice', but a millionaire, eh? I just want you to know that I have always valued you as a good mate.
For what it's worth, my opinion is that anyone and everyone, who puts their hand in their pocket, to help save 'our' club, is deserving of respect - and they are even entitled to hold an opinion, about anything and everything. (even another club)
