o/t Gun man on loose in Leigh : Wed Sep 30, 2015 11:09 am  

The Watcher has been hearing stories about a failed arm robbery at The Waterside public house yesterday, he was told that an armed response team captured the gun man on Leigh bridge. Has anyone else heard about this?

I've heard they have taken hostages in the Ticket Office.

I arrived at Leigh Bridge at 15.22 and the incident was in progress, there were six Police vehicles on the apex of the bridge, about 15 officers were in attendance and all traffic was stopped both vehicle and pedestrian. The person (s) were already in one of the vehicles. The road was re-opened at 15.28.
