I am a United fan but your comment is a disgrace. Burnham was always going to get that reaction--justice still hasnt been done and if you had bothered to read about the whole scenario you would know---instead of towing the usual line of the Liverpool fans are to blame.
He was the unfortunate messenger sent by the Prime Minister and as soon as he said he had a message from the PM then thats when the shouting started and eventually a large majority chanting "Justice for the 96". It would have happened no matter what MP had been there. He is an Everton fan himself and spoke well after the first few lines had been interrupted about the fans of both teams sharing the grief which got loud applause.
All the fans want is for someone to hold their hand up and say "we are to blame". The police refuse to do this despite the Taylor Report finding them culpable. No enquiry--no justice.
Lucy , As AB is an Everton fan he said he was at the other semi between Everton and Aston Villa ( I think ) so not his fault
Good for him then, as an Everton fan he put his team aside for a while and respected the 92 who died.
My brother was there that day, he survived that. I've no more to say really, ecxept at the end of the day it really is 'only a game' Life is way more important.
