Under 11's : Wed Mar 04, 2009 10:11 am
I have been reading a number of threads and it sprung to my mind that there does not appear to be masses of Under 11's at the games with their free season tickets.
Maybe it is just where I have been sat but I have not noticed a remarkable increase from what I saw stood on the Tommy Sale terrace.
Was it ever stated how many under 11's took the club up on this offer?
Are the parents having to be careful with their money and cannot afford to get along to the games with them (maybe waiting and choosing their matches)?
What strikes me is that with the attendances we have had to date the Leigh Management must feel like they are peeing against the wind as announced attendances must have been lower than expected.
Was there an increase for the scholars and haven matches in comparison to similar fixtures last season against Blackpool and Featherstone in the Group stages? I dont have the figures at hand but maybe DParky can verify but I would be suprised if there were more last season as opposed to the accumulative 3100 or so that have been announced as being present for our 2 Northern Rail home cup games.
Whether it is the norm that the Northern rail cup games are not well attended I would have expected with the free season tickets and new stadium factor for things to be loking a little more positive on the attendance front.
And before you say it Fred YES I am obseesed with attendances
Anything number/statistical related is a fascination in my eyes
