I can’t believe some of the posts I have been reading on here for the last few months. You have got probably the best coach in this division as well as most of the SL clubs, You have an excellent chairman in AT. You have an absolutely fantastic stadium which will be the envy of most SL clubs. Your team is being compiled intelligently by NK. There is some fine young talent in that Leigh squad and they will get better and better as the season progresses. I am quite sure Kelly will tweak the squad, if needed, at the latter end of the season and I fancy Leigh to make the GF.

However, what have I been reading? I have been reading posts from what must be the biggest set of whingers in RL. By some of the remarks I have read, this message board is full of talent that could teach the current set up all it needs to know about managing a company, about marketing, about coaching, about playing. Why on earth are you on this message board? Surely you should be out there running a multi-million pound corporate PLC company or running a college for RL coaches, or even playing!!

And the prize for biggest whinger on this board goes to………FRANKB

After reading his posts, what he knows about Rugby League I could put on the back of a postage stamp if I could find one small enough. I bet he even grumbles about the price of a pint or a meat and potato pie. I bet he wishes he was back at Hilton Park where you could watch a game for 2/6d have a pint and a pie and still have change for fish and chips on’t way for’t buzzzzz wom!!


It’s about time the majority of you shut up grumbling and started singing the praises of the Leigh set up and the LSV stadium…oh but you can’t because everyone has it in for Leigh don’t they.

sorry to say i have to agree with most of the above dont know about the comment about FRANKB i aint read enough of his post to comment but evrything else seems about spot on unfortunately

would rather pay £3 at the LSV than £2.20 at Hilton Park my opinion only of course as said before if you dont like the prices dont by one simples

Seriously though you make some valid points - although it would be better if you would at least acknowledge some of the valid concerns that do exist.

People often complain because they genuinely care for the club and want to see it succeed - as it is such a big part of their lives and always has been.

However, communication from the club has never been good and you really have to ask if they are effectively promoting all the good things that you mention in their post. We have underachieved for many years - hopefully that will change.

By the way, its ironic that your first post came across as being so negative - which is what you were moaning about in the first place!

I agree with you there saley2. On match days though we go cross road to the park inn hotel.on match days its £2.50 a pint,£1 for a soft drink and £2.50 for a glass of wine and that can be drank in warmth instead of freezing underneath the stand. Also on match days they do a offer on food, it's £5.55 for a meal and a beer, the meals are fish n chips, hot pot, burger or a curry. We have been twice so far n been impressed every time.

There is absolutely nothing negative about the club just the whingers. Leigh and the people behind the LSV have done a fantastic job and should be applauded.

charlie caroli has come up with a very good solution there i think the £3 a pint thig should now be put to bed plenty of other solutions for the ones who dont want to pay that much you just have to look for them like charlie caroli well done my friend
