The reason we got him was that we offered him a one year deal. Raiders reluctantly released him due to salary cap reasons. He’s back at the Raiders in 2019 when a few of their higher paid players are off contract. Warrington wanted him on a two year deal. As long as he does the business and helps us get back to SL then it’s a good deal for us too.

Why would he return to the raiders? He'd already been released prior to Hodgson's injury.

To be honest I am not sure how we pulled it off as Warrington were also definitely in the mix for him.

There's no doubting the lads talent however, a twelve month contract suggests this deal is to suit him more than us?
I wonder if the contract allows him to take up a SL one too? I don't think we would be so desperate, would we?

Doesn't really matter if he gets us back up, having some of last years squad on longer contracts didn't help us at all

I see Ryan Hampshire has signed for Wakefield. Good luck to him, and congratulations on getting a spot with his home town club. I really hope he is able to prove everyone wrong, and succeed in SL.
