Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?

No don't think its that to be honest.
Entertainment and effort seemed to be the 2 talked about things that night as 'massively changed'.
I had one meeting up for the Barrow game but unfortunatly the 12:00KO has kicked that into touch, I'm sure they'll be back though (just as I'm sure if we win something they'll have 'never missed a game for years' )

Do you make an effort now?
Quoting irrelevant stats doesn't count btw
We have a challenge and we need to meet it head on.

Yes I do.
Neither does your irrelevant opinion, less do that stats-at least there's something to back me up other that ego.
Let me know when you 'meet that challenge head on'.
You've sound like you've been to the same mundane meetings with inane terms that I have to go to, I think it's time you started thinking outside the box.

Our crowds have grown every year from '09-1984. 00-2144 to this year 2569. But don't let facts get in the way of a good whinge eh. I'd say our marketing team would be happy with that.

I'll be honest the 12 o'clock kick off suits me fine. Robin Hood, Leigh v Barrow then Hare and Hounds for Wiggin-Saints and then take the mrs out for tea. Happy days.

Bet your asleep by 7pm.

Doubt i'll be asleep by 7pm. Been working 4am-4pm all week and still havn't managed to get to sleep before 12.

Do you know if the LSV didnt have so many staff that do little except have meetings about a meeting and they employed some marketing staff themselves, who knows what they could achieve.

We don't have a dedicated PR dept because we don't have the dosh. Just to man a decent one would need, I would say £80,000 minimum. Then you need a budget to fund the projects that I would guess will set you back £60,000 and that would buy a 20th of what some on here are expecting the club to provide. I personally think we do a half decent job at promoting the games now. It's a damm site better than a few years ago. When I looked through Halifaxes program at the weekend it filled me pride because ours is head and shoulders above theirs. Thats down to a group who give up their time to produce it. It's coming as are the crowds. Slowly but it's coming. Have faith.

No one is talking about employing someone on an £80k salary with a £60k budget get real, we all know that budget is a pipe dream! We are talking about a few posters around the place, use the trailer that has been mentioned, get reserves in the town handing out leaflets on Saturdays, etc!

Yes I fully agree the program we have is fantastic but again this something for the established fans, they need to be targetting the town and surrounding areas!

Its fantastic that the fans are trying to help but the club also need to use these people! It's been mentioned on here that people from the club read this board so they know people want to help, why not get them all together and brainstorm ideas!
