Well I have lost track, the only thing I do know is far more have left/retired than have come in. We are still short in one or two important positions. Could someone please list who we still have that have not gone out on season long loans.

From last seasons Team List thread:
1 Gregg McNally 2 Adam Higson 3 Greg Worthington 4 Tom Armstrong 5 Liam Kay 6 Martyn Ridyard 7 Ryan Brierley 8 Fuifui Moimoi 9 Bob Beswick (Vice-captain) 10 Oliver Wilkes (Captain) 11 Matthew Sarsfield 12 Tommy Goulden 13 Sam Barlow 14 Sean Penkywicz (Vice-captain) 15 Jonny Pownall 16 Michael Platt 17 Ben Reynolds - Loan 18 Tom Spencer 19 Kurt Haggerty 20 Sam Hopkins 21 Jamie Acton 22 Richard Beaumont 23 Martin Aspinwall 24 Jonny Walker 25 Cameron Pitman - Loan 28 Steve Maden 29 Jake Emmitt
Plus since then Dixon, Higham, Hock, Pala, Weston, Maitua, Hansen, Patterson have come in plus a few of the younger players given FT contracts and/or sent out on loan.

Also worth noting that at the end of last season, there was a general sense of us having too big a squad last season anyway, and needed to replace some quantity with quality. Of the players highlighted, Beaumont, Walker, Pitman and Maden didn't even play for us last season, so releasing or loaning them shouldn't have a big impact.

Of the players that have left Haggerty is the 1st one that I think we would have liked to have kept if we could. I imagine he realised he had moved down the pecking order and moved to get more game time. The only exceptions to that are probably Tommy Goulden who was playing better than ever but if his body was shot then he understandably has to retire no matter how well he was playing and obviously the Penky situation was unexpected but Higham is more than adequate as a replacement.
Quality over quantity. I agree with that, however if injuries hit hard, then you may see us struggle. On a pure RL theme i would of kept kurt, he's 26, prime of his career, unlike some in our squad and he's gone to a main rival.
Simple truth is last years squad had their chance but results tell us in the end we werent good enough. How can anyone think we would go with the same squad is beyond me. Here is a list of 2nd row forwards, maybe Kurt wanted more guaranteed RL :-
Dixon Hock Hansen Patterson Matutua
Baring a catalogue of injuries i dont see Kurt getting in before the above?
Everybody seems hell bent on the theory we are releasing players to accommodate new signings, maybe we are releasing players who might not get a game?
