For what?
for the league being the most competitive ever?
for us not winning games by 50 points?
for us not signing Sonny 'boy' Williams?
for the state of the economy?
for me not being able to afford a Range Rover?
the list is endless.
There is no fault its a combination of events but the board have come out and said they have backed the coaches with cash when they could afford it, if you have the answers then go ahead I have not, but to blame a guy like Arthur Thomas who has ploughed a small fortune into the club for no return whatsover is typical knee jerk reaction.
Every club is feeling the financial pinch and I forecast this problem would arise some months ago and that we would be lucky to finish in the top 6, its no one's fault just circumstances, perhaps they could have been avoided but hindsight is a wonderfull thing, as for Tony benson that was nearing thre years ago, i could blame jack harding for not giving Murphy a 5 year contract in 1971 for if he had then who knows where we could be now, but its irrelevant it didnt happen, move on. But you cant sack people who own the business, and thats the problem Rugby League is a business and to get anyone to put as much money into Leigh Centurion as Arthur Thomes has would be near impossible in a small town like this one, its unfortunate but true, I now await then usual replies, but if im wrong please append the names of these awaiting millionares in your post.
