Yes he has backed the Club with his hard earned cash, yes again he has the best interests of the Club at heart & only wants the best for the Club, but he is making LCRLFC a laughing stock & has become a Mk1 version of MarwanK CarCrash.

Would PR still be Head Coach if it wasn't for DB ?
Would Alan Rowley still be on the BOD if it wasn't for DB ?
Would RB submit his notice if it wasn't for DB & the surrounding issues at LCRLFC ?

How many more players will leave by the end of this season ?
Is Rangi on his way out ?
Are Bob Beswick & Liam Kay banned from the Club/suspended ?

Did Derek interfere with or demand certain signings that maybe Paul Rowley did not want ? *Hock/Chase* ? Has Derek interfered with or demanded certain team selections ?
Is this why Paul left ?

Why would PR leave his home town RL Club which he has taken to NRC Champions, 2 x Championship League Leaders & a Championship Champions title & 2 successive Challenge Cup Quarter Finals ?

All of these things should sound warning alarms for all Leigh Centurions fans.

One thing is certain, should these issues not be resolved quickly & should we lose Beswick &/or Kay or any other stand out player then we can forget promotion, maybe not just this year either, this current turmoil could set the Club back 10 or 20 years.

If DB should suddenly give up on his dream of SL for Leigh, then what ?
A team full of players on top dollar with contracts that need to be paid, that's what.

Now, I haven't been a member of this forum as long as many here, but I stand by my opinions & I am prepared to take the bullets.

Either Derek has an epiphany of epic proportions & goes the same way as MarwanK Mk2 *allowing the Head Coach to coach & pick the team/signings or I really fear for our Club.

Best post I have read in a long time. Very sensible indeed. Leigh fans should, like any fan, defend their club. But not accept the words of the men in charge as gospel without questioning it too.

We Bulls fans swallowed enough of it in our problem times and it probably made things worse.

Not saying either party is right or wrong as I don't know enough about the situation but Leigh seems a million miles away from the team we visited on the opening day of last season.

It's apparent you're not a DB fan, however I still think we have a good chance of getting into SL. Just let the dust settle. there is one thing i will say,Is I don't want to be standing watching a Leigh team with about 900 speccies like we once did.. BTW - FWIW we all had to digest all the crap from other folk when we finished at bottom of the middle 8s. It seems to me he is trying to put this right, Those who don't like it, then it's tough. Keep off his back until all fails.

I am sure the truth lies somewhere in between what the club has said and what Ryan has said. If another player leaves then I will judge that case on its merits.

In this case, Brierley has been making all the right noises in public about wanting to stay with Leigh and get them into SL. But in private he has clearly wanted to engineer a move away from the club and the constant leaks regarding confidential information about him has been used to try and force the situation using the press to his and his agents advantage.

For all his talk about caring about the Leigh fans and his team mates he is walking out when we have no available cover for him, effectively leaving those fans and his team mates in the $hit.

He was given the Number 7 shirt and has played at 7 in 3 of our 4 matches so far this season. He isn't being pushed out, he was playing regular rugby in his chosen position on a wage that is surely one of the highest in the Championship.
