I’m gutted he’s gone. But I agree with few others that if 660k is what it would have cost to potentially keep him, that would not at this stage of our clubs plan have been a wise move.
I believe our 5 year plan is foremost to create a self sustaining SL club that constantly competes in the top 6. As much as success on the field is a key part, to try to do that by retaining one player, at the cost of other vital areas, is not big picture planning.
I would dearly have loved to see him sign and stay, but I believe there is a reason it has not happened.
(Plus how many other quality players and future quality players can $660 bring if we do have that available).
