| Regarding the granting of visas to players I have been told, most RL players denied them, have had them denied, because of our RFL not backing the application. This time the RFL seem to be backing the application.
Conclusion I draw is that the RFL have watched a few of our games on dvd this season and feel sorry for us. 
It always astonishes me that in premiership football they never have any trouble getting visas for the players they bring in from any country. |

He looks a good signing (I think Barrow had a look at him in the off season). A word of warning though.
It took 3 months for Barrow to get Catic and Luisi into the country. We gave up on the 3 Fijians in the end - it all took far too long.
Like someone else said, don't get too excited until he's got your shirt on his back and he's running out of the tunnel at LSV !!

him back... but Jamie Lyon was a established Aussie superstar
and only young when he packed in .. dont for one minute think we are gonna get someone of that quality

The RFL as a players sponsor is backing this so its a lot farther on than any of the other 'signings' we announced that didnt come off and to be fair the bartolo incident was the result of me harrassing the club for news and being told by a director to announce his signings, whereas all press releases are now checked and ok'ed by the Ch Exec and I belive this has been 'hanging around' since Friday awaiting the go ahead to get it out.

Lets hope we can get Visa clearance ASAP and hopefully Joe will come over and make a big impact on the team and will continue to stay on. He is what we have been crying out for this season, a halfback with pace. |
