A very open statement.
Makes Ryan to look like a very greedy person grabbing as much cash as he can.
Talking of going to Bradford won't endear him to anyone who has followed Leigh for so long and been happy to support Ryan after Cas got shut of him.

A very sorry end to what was a promising Leigh career after being booted out of Cas.

I suppose the deal will be now to see how much can be got for him if the 4 week quitting notice isn't lodged with the RFL in the contracts they get and also ensure Bradford haven't done anything untoward.
If Ryans 4 week notice is correct then get shut asap.

You are all clearly too eager to believe Beaumont that you would read a statement like that and believe it! Last week he was off to Canada, now it is the Bulls. He is talking absolute rubbish to try and paper over the cracks that he himself has caused in your squad. He really never fails to deliver does old Derek! Who better to blame than the league rivals?

If turns out to be true and I were Ryan Brierley I would be suing the club for slander/libel for making him look greedy and disloyal by publishing an admitted private conversation.

How are any of your players supposed to talk to your coach in private if they now know that it will be made public at Beaumonts desire!

Irrelevant. Before the May deadline any contact with a contracted player has to go through the parent club first.

Seeing as Derek and the board found out through Neil Jukes who only found out off Brierley after the offer had already been made, I am guessing this procedure wasn't followed.

Certainly seems to be an illegal approach.

If the clause is enforceable or not is basically irrelevant now. He has show he is willing to jump ship to our biggest rivals, at a time when the squad is crippled with loads missing players all for a few extra quid. He simply cannot be allowed to play for us again and doesn't deserve to pull on our shirt with that attitude. Best we can hope for now is to get a few quid for him and send him to a club where he isn't likely to play against us in the middle 8's.

No he wasn't. Players were approached to go to Canada. Ryan clearly isn't one of them. Brierley has been wanting to go to SL for years, he wasn't going to drop DOWN a division and move to Canada to play Champ 1.

I get you don't like Derek but don't just make things up to suit your agenda.

To be fair, if this was my club I'd be swallowing the owners BS too. I did for long enough when we had the fake sheikh.

Eventually the penny will drop and a collective D'oh will echo up and down the east lancs road.

I doubt there's much truth in the Bradford rumour, as Green comes across a pretty sensible chap and illegal approaches are toxic. I am still finding this awfully funny though.
