Cheers, Cokey. We've got one returning at least (literally if not positionally). Let's hope for a double over KR. Small squad and absentees aside, this Leigh team plays for one another - and for us!

A massive result and a great performance, however I am a little worried at where Ben Reynolds head is at the moment. A few decisions he has made or errors, for instance the red mist against Wakefield for no reason, standing over Mickey Lewis in the in goal area and giving him a sprey, missing goal kicks he would normally back heal over, dropping the ball straight from the scrum inside KRs 10,missing Lewis one on one for him to score. Just some observations I have picked up on

I think you have to forgive Ben a few misdemeanours, especially in those wet and slippery conditions. When they gave him a 2 year contract in the Championship, I was one of many who groaned but under Lam's tutelage he has improved immensely. Even his goal kicking has improved.

Leigh for the double!! Adrian Lam is amazing. The best coach in SL by a mile.

Inability to play the ball - preferring to try to get a penalty - when we had 6 tackles in their half. The result was 5 sets of 6 on our try line.

Without John Asiata, we lack a bit of guile, but then again how many teams operate with a ball playing 13?
Plenty of size in the pack with Big Ben, Norman and Hughes on the bench.

Scored some very good tries and put the game to bed before half-time in difficult handling conditions. Fantastic performance.

Ben is on form one of the best HB in the competition at the moment, he doesn’t have the flair or pace of Lam/Williams but he has improved dramatically under a HB as a coach, he is well thought of at the club and players like to play with him, he has really brought that right edge together. He will be relatively cheap, he is none quota, his kicking is excellent, he’s big and strong for a HB, can defend and I’d relatively young with time to mature. English halves are hard to come by at the minute I think he’s definitely worth another 2/3 year deal.

Are you watching the same player? The left edge purrs with Lam and the right edge is clunky and slow. With Mellor in place they flow better, so the upshot must be that Reynolds is the problem.

Reynolds has improved greatly this season, but he is a long way of the finished article.

If you had left it there, you would have made a good post. A cracking win yet you felt the need to pick a player to abuse. You are obvious not a Reynolds fan but fortunately Lam is a better judge than you.

I will applaud ANY player when they are playing well. Ben has played well most of the time. My comments are on what I have seen the last few weeks and just wonder why the change in him. If he was a young lad just starting in the team I would understand a bit more. To come in swinging like he did at Wakefield isn’t him. Like I said only my observations and my opinion to which I am surely entitled to.
