If you witnessed the brave ‘supporter’ that sucker punched an elderly Rovers fan and hospitalised him, do the right thing and report them to the appropriate authorities. The minority ruins things for the majority. There were plenty of Leigh supporters around so no excuse to turn a blind eye.

Plenty of CCTV in the area so fingers crossed the culprit will be identified and dealt with accordingly, irrespective of someone being a human being.

Ultimately assault and no excuse.

Hopefully victim is ok and makes full recovery.

Agreed. Hopefully the person will be identified, and dealt with severely. incidents like this MUST never ever happen.

Here, here. There will be none of us on this site trying to justify the frankly disgraceful and criminal actions of the individual involved.

Thankfully believe the Gentleman is now out of hospital. Understand his grandson has posted an update on social media.
