"Leigh Centurions Mourn The Passing of Andrew Parkinson
Everyone at Leigh Centurions would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Andrew Parkinson who died today, aged 35.
Andrew had been with Leigh for many years as our IT Manager though his role encompassed so much more.
He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and friends not just in Leigh but across the rugby league community.
An absolute gentleman, Andrew always went above and beyond for the Club he loved. The Directors, staff and players at Leigh Centurions are all devastated and heartbroken by his passing.
A full tribute will follow in due course."

Andrew was such a great person. He has always helped me with coordinating the various things I would arrange from afar for my parents at games. When my Dad got very sick 3 years ago, he was integral in making arrangements, in short time, that meant I was able to bring him out of hospital and safely take him to his last two ever games even though he was very frail. He didn’t ever hesitate to step up and help. He was a true gent and all heart. When ever I was lucky enough to see him in person, I always came away with a smile. He was that guy !
My love and thoughts are with the great Parkinson family and everyone who knew Andrew.
Rest In Peace Andy.
