That's right, Marshy had a superb game made some real yards off the penalties that we had which in turn gave us great field position for us to score.

Rugby in general is short of half backs, for years we have neglected this area of the Brittish game by bring too many overs seas players in to play in vital position. My advice is stick with developing our own kids ,it will be a slow process but will pay dividends long term. The key to it though is getting the kids on long term contracts

I like Marshy but yesterday his kicking was poop .His kicking game is much better , we are used to him booting the ball down field so maybe just down to fitness .

I think all the criticism of Marsh is unfair. He's never ever looked 'fit' however he was our stand off at Widnes and we won! I thought some of his tackling in the first half against Barrow was good, he put some hard shots in on their forwards, his kicking was shocking although there are others I'd want excluding before him, Tony Stewart anyone?

Hundreds of millions of pounds of Sky money and not one world class British player at 1, 6, 7 or 9.

Or 13 for that matter.

Or 2, 3, 4, 5

Change and investment is need at the bottom of the food chain,we need to play childrens rugby in the summer and also change the format of the game from 13 years and down to a low impact game based on good technique with ball in hands. This would create a sport for all children and we would stop the burn out of our children at a young age, leading to so many kids leaving the game.Investment needs to come from the top to enable both amateur and pro sides to work together so a new path for future generations of rugby league players can develop for the good of the game.
