Unless Hendersons hearing is after the next game I don't think we can afford the luxuary of having Brierley on the bench next week & he doesnt have the same impact starting either so I think we may have to sacrifice him against fax/seagulls. Nicolson will have to come in & having 2 hookers & 2 scrum halves on the same team when Fax & seagulls have such big forwards would'nt be suited. It's harsh on Ryan but I think it's a probable hopefully if we win next week & Hoppy is fit for the final then Ryan can do what he does best at HJ

Brierly, as much as I love him, is an attacking player. That is what he is there for and he is damn good at it. We didn't DO any attacking tonight after the first 15 mins or so. We just defended and defended and defended. He isn't a weak link in defence normally but he IS very slight for a RL player and would have struggled tonight as Fev would have targetted him due to his lack of size. He is a class act and should keep his place in the team as he has earned it. Tonight was not the night for him though unfortunately. Luckily, we shouldn't have to deal with a penalty count like that again for around a decade! Brierly should keep his spot, and I think he will.

Beswick or Duffy at LF I feel is the only other 2 decent options either way players are getting shuffled around

Thing is frank we played with 16 players tonight because ryans 'pointless' ten minutes on the field was a complete waste of time, and theres absolutely no point having him there if your not going to trust him with more game time.

Yes, I'm not suggesting Ryan isn't in the team. Same team as tonight but Nicholson at 9, Beswick moves to 13 and Thornley into the back row.

I dont think there was anything wrong with the team selection, as there was only two other players fit and available to choose from.
|I agree though with Ryan he should have been on for the last ten minutes of the first half, run at their tiring defence, instead of us doing all the defending.

I can't believe Ryan B does,nt get more game time it's madness not playing him the kid reads the game great has brilliant ball skills , great pace tackles well and scores try's for fun also links up brilliantly with The stand off and full back the coaching staff should have brought him on 15 mins before ht and 15 min before full time


I agree about the ref tho he totally caned Leigh second half a lot of the technical pens where pathetic and spoiled the game he should let the game flow for both sides not keep blowing for pathetic little things what only he can see
