England v Tonga : Tue Oct 17, 2023 10:01 am
England squad for the series with Tonga

Matty Ashton (Warrington Wolves), John Bateman (Wests Tigers), Tom Burgess (South Sydney Rabbitohs), Daryl Clark, Ben Currie (both Warrington Wolves), Tyler Dupree, Liam Farrell (both Wigan Warriors), Chris Hill (Huddersfield Giants), Tom Johnstone (Catalans Dragons), Toby King (Wigan Warriors), Morgan Knowles, Matty Lees (both St Helens), Mikey Lewis (Hull KR), Tommy Makinson (St Helens), Mike McMeeken (Catalans Dragons), Robbie Mulhern (Leigh Leopards), Harry Newman (Leeds Rhinos), Victor Radley (Sydney Roosters), Harry Smith (Wigan Warriors), Danny Walker (Warrington Wolves), Jack Welsby (St Helens), Elliott Whitehead (Canberra Raiders), George Williams (Warrington Wolves), Dom Young (Newcastle Knights)

Surprised to see Curie in there To be honest, but Wane seems to rate him as he has constantly played while Wane has been Eng manager.

Glad to see Ashton in there, though I think he will be behind Johnstone and Young in the pecking order

Currie beggars belief. I thought Wardle would be a certainty at centre. I'm assuming he's picked up an injury?

Saints pulled out Walmsley, Lomax and Percival with supposed injuries. Such a deplorable, insular club.

Yeah I can believe those three are injured, Percival is made of biscuit Walmsley just came back earlier than he should and Lomax has looked crap back end of year.

If they were playing the game I'd have withdrew Jack Welsby because without that rat they have no attack.

Who all played with injury towards the end of season, so good reason to withdraw I would have thought. I am sure the 'holier-than-thou' Wire would have done the same. Saints still have four in the side anyhow - five if you include Clark.

Welsby Captain, how much did Wane drink before coming up with that choice.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Maybe he thinks it will teach him to be gracious, reasonable and (most unlikely of all) to walk tall.

He wouldn't be able to play Gunner Parkin, if they ever remade It Aint Half Hot Mum.
