An interesting activity for some fans to consider : Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:42 pm
As people grow older their mental health can suffer. This can also happen when they finish playing their favourite sport and is not limited to rugby league players. I have a suggestion for anybody who this interests or who has friends or relatives who it may help. It is something that can even turn you into a legend in your own street or even an icon in your own cul de sac.
It is to spend time writing a fictional novel that is based around your own life. Since starting in 1988 while working as an electrical draughtsman for the CEGB, I have written six novels that cover such everyday things like my schooldays, family history, employment and characters at work, Lancashire Yorkshire humour, trips abroad both for work and holiday along with plenty Rugby League tales. Many fans who I have talked to have told me that they could find this very interesting to do either by themselves or by older relatives, former workmates and neighbours but then go on to say they would all need a lot of help. For them I have written three pages of advice. Visit my web site at geofflee.net and then E Mail me at wgeofflee@gmail.com and I'll send them to you.
