Many of the posters on facethingy and instatok ARE fickle in my view.
There are less on here, but they do exist - again in my view.
When the team wins they are quiet.
When the team loses a couple of games then often there is unwarranted criticism of the team, the coach, the board or a member of the coaching staff.
I've no problem with criticsm that has a sound argument behind it.
I find you do tend to get knee jerk soundbites on other sites with little behind them - hence I tend to scan only briefly and very rarely comment.
Fortunately things are positive at the moment for us - long may it continue.
It's just human nature, I think, Fez. When you look back on past matchday threads (not just Wire, but any team probably), I suspect that in games that were lost, the threads will run several pages longer than those for when games were won. People post for different reasons and spleen-venting is one of them. It's not my own style, as I tend to avoid posting in the heat of anger or disappointment, but each to their own. I think of these forums as being like a virtual pub, and just like in a real pub, you get lots of different characters at the bar, with many ways of expressing themselves. All are entitled to their opinion, and we learn through experience which ones we value.
