I’ve not really kept up with how he’s been doing the last couple of years in the NRL. Don’t remember him standing out in the World Cup, but can’t be too bad if he’s still making the squad.

Didn’t he want to be at home to be closer to his kid/kids who lived with his ex? Or did I dream that?

Kind of a strange retirement in the end. Sounded a bit like he just doesn’t fancy it anymore.

It is all a bit strange.
During the game against Saints in the first half mamo tore them apart on 3 or 4 occasions only to go and dish out a dodgy pass and turn over possession. He didnt take to the field in the second half and I didnt see him struggling with an injury.
He has not played since

Only my opinion but I reckon Radford blasted him at half time and something went on. Mamo is a likeable fella and probably had a lot of support in the dressing room. A week later Radford leaves the club.
Suits Cas to call it a medical retirement as it would free up a quota spot etc
