King has been very average for a while and if you don’t want to dig in and support the coach then get rid

I like the clear out more and more and although the season is a total write off we are looking a lot stronger for next year

Spot on..Powell's in charge and any problems he sees with this lot then get shut...it's what's needed and we.ll be better off for it

Do we know why Wardle is unhappy?

Some suggestions include
Not happy to play second fiddle to cudjoe or leutele as wants to look at chance if WC place
Also
Possibly not willing to buy into the team ethos and processes that Watson likes .

Also not sure if we are having some salary cap issues to keep leutele and possibly pryce who may be going down under
I like Wardle but every season I think this is his time to shine .
Plays 4 games and is then out injured. His brother also struggled with injuries.
I wish him the best but feel at he minute we may have got the best deal . Time will tell

Have you got tonight's lottery numbers?

Ha ha ha, outstanding timing from me there. It's still a strange(ish) one. Watson won't play Wardle and Powell seems to rate King. I can't see King being made permanent though unless he sees him as a second rower maybe. Wonder where that leaves Wardle in terms of long term. All in all though it's a great deal for Warrington.
I think also, he has obviously seen enough of King to deem him not good enough. To just ship off a player with no hint of him being dropped is a big statement to the rest of your squad. He can obviously see your weaknesses. You are going to have a bad season, maybe next year too but i'd say now is the time for Warrington fans to back Powell. He clearly knows who is and isn't right for the club.Pity he won't be able to offload Williams though. You are stuck with that one but even though the props you have signed are ageing they will come in and do a job for a couple of years until the only area you need to improve will be the prop department again. A row of steady props gives him time to build everything else in behind frst. It's a very positive step for Wire. The big question though is can he offload the big wage guys permanently.

I would have thought the Wardle aspect was unlikely since he's there big up n comer but there was already rumours about him signing for wigan next year

It makes sense to do a swap to me.
Hudds will be wanting a replacement for Wardle and King fits the shoe. Like for like.
Powell is probably had enough of the none excuse lapses like Perpignan. Powell is going for a stern ship. I like it too.
So it’s in everyone interest the swap happened. Even with Wardle heading to the pie dome.
I had heard yesterday about it.

Williams isn’t performing at the moment, but he is putting the effort in. I think Powell is a fan and has seen something he likes in Williams. Although I’m a bit peed off at some of his decisions this year I’m reserving judgment on Williams until next season behind a proper pack.

I hope King is prepared to fight his way into those centre spots then, unless Watson has plans for him in the second row?

When I first read it, I though that you were saying that Powell is going for astern ship.... hope not.

If the Hartshead Service Station rumours are accurate, perhaps getting off the coach to get away from the Coach might be renamed 'A Hardaker', didn't Zak use it to engineer his recent move from Wigan to Leeds following an away game at Wakefield?
Over on the Wigan board they still believe Wardle to them for next season, could be right as this is only a loan deal atm.

Maybe Wardle is Wigan bound for 2023, I would be more than happy to sign him permanently?

Good move by Powell, he has shown the dissenters that he has total control.
