Admittedly it’s been a while since I was told Wardle had signed for Wigan at about the same time as Bibby signed for Huddersfield just before the last England fixture.

I thought the whole King move which came a bit out of the blue could have affected it, but I don’t think it has and I still expect him to be playing for Wigan in 23.

I heard that Wigan thought they had signed Wardle including the end of this year on loan. When they phoned Huddersfield up to sort the deal out they were told he had already signed the loan deal with Warrington.

You’ll probably know better than me as you seem convinced he’s signed for Wigan.

Ricky Luetele still without a club, isn’t he? I’d take him on a 2 year deal even if he is 32.

The title of this thread agreed well.

It’s rather telling that the culture of the club, and our fall from grace as a competitive team under Powell and directed by Fitzpatrick, is so rotten that a loanee would rather move elsewhere than sign permanently to a club who he’s played quite well for during his loan spell.

It’s becoming a real concern that our starting three quarters might have the average age of 64…

It was said before he came to Warrington that he had agreed some kind of terms for Wigan, we’ve seen that to be a handshake in the past.
I think we may have inquired into taking Wardle instead of Wigan.
I think there’s more than a telling coincidence that he was dropped from the main England squad for the knights, then suddenly last week got reinstated!
Keeping up the Wane/Wigan connections.
If you’re a Wiganer, currently playing at Wigan, or have played at Wigan, you’re more likely to be in the England squad.

Wardle cements his selection by signing to Wigan.

WIGAN

Wardle has done an interview on the Wigan site saying they tried to make the move happen mid season but it didn’t come off and he went to Warrington to play some games. I don’t think this is a case where a loanee at Wire has decided it’s not for him and more the fact that it was already done for him to move to Wigan. I know Jonh on our board was saying this was done months ago.

the future's bright the future's claret and gold

Oh dear. If only wire hadn’t loaned king to wigan next season.
Huddersfield now have a young upcoming centre and yet another young upcoming forward- I’m not sure where we are going to play them all- so we might have someone available for loan if you are still interested!!!!
