So then, reopening the debate... The Giants have just signed Marsters. Surely they'll be letting Wardle go? At least on loan? Signing Naiqama and Marsters suggests they don't want Wardle at all.

Wigan signed King and supposedly Whare too so they aren’t likely to be interested, I can’t see him staying at Huddersfield, so where else is there? Saints have Percival, Hurrell and Hopoate, Hull Fc are stacked with centres, Leeds have Newman and likely Hardaker. Not sure who Catalan have signed up for next year now Whare has gone?

Yeah i'm hoping now they've signed him and Watson has had a bit of time to calm down, i hope this will ease Wardle signing with us. Even if it was just for Next year that would be a bonus for us

the future's bright the future's claret and gold

I’m wondering whether they are looking at Marsters as a half. He’s played there internationally, and we are light there as we have let cogger go, Russell has been hit and miss. Watson likes his utility players - like naiqama who will be cover across the backs- and I can see him playing on the wing rather than centre. As we only have one senior twin, Jerry with golding as cover. We haven’t confirmed bibby is coming. - at the moment we still only have Marsters, and two 35 year olds in Leroy and naiqama at centre so don’t count your chickens that means wardle is surplus to requirements just yet. Unless you fancy swapping him for Williams? It seems you don’t want to stump up the cash.

Don't think a transfer fee for Wardle would be an issue, more would be the problem with Salary Cap unless we can unload two maybe even three surplus currently contracted forwards........ Joe Philbin, Oliver Holmes, and A.N. Other?

It must be nice to say that. Huddersfield have had a cracking season.

Third in the table and nilled at home first up in the playoffs. You might need to reappraise our 2021 season again then.

True if we are not comparing apples with pears.

They didnt have 2 marquee players and didnt have a CEO spouting how their aim is to win a GF year in year out, they also didnt have a coach 4 years into the job with a settled team.

It's all opinions but I think Hudds have had a cracking season when all considered. I don't think Warrington had a cracking season in 2021, far from it.

I agree with Wires71 Huddersfield had a good season, they were consistent and played well more often than not. They made the challenge cup final and finished 3rd in the league, the playoff defeat will have been very dissapointing but if we manage to achieve next season what they have this season I'll be a pretty happy wire fan.

The latest confirmed move in the 2023 centres merry-go-round is Jake Bibby to Huddersfield.

They don't need Wardle now, i hope all this is pushing Wardle our way. We'll see though i suppose :-)

Huddersfield have more centres than a tube of polo mints.
Wardle will have to be moved off their cap sooner than later.

I think the interference from Watto isn’t helping.
His job is to coach not decide the bounty on a players head. His role is so far as ‘yes’ I want him or ‘no’ I don’t. Leave the rest to the board.

Over the years Wire & Hudds relationship has been amicable, Watto looks hell bent on making everything about him.
He ever undermines the roles of his team skippers and controlling backs by constantly pacing up and down the touchline, throwing his arms about like John McCrirrick in between folding them back up again.
