The curse of a twelve point lead strikes again, we all knew the script when a certain centre passed inside that we didn't have enough to discourage anyone but the home support....This week's grand fromage, making a charge for the top is The Speculator with 13 points the rest of us crumbled like our team and slab of Cheshire as follows,

Considering it was a 'nothing' game at the end of a distinctly disappointing season it was a decent turn out in the Wire end whio were 'treated' to a glimpse of the future as both sides featured some youngsters. Salford will be glad that they avoided having to travel to the South of France and we can be happy not to suffer further embarrassment.

Well as a collective we really showed our general Rugby League knowledge with this week's winner what must be the lowest Wire Yed winning scores which I think says more about the collective than to The Speculator.

Huge thanks to Uncle Rico for running the competition. It was more fun than the actual rugby most weeks this season, unfortunately. Let's hope that 2023 brings happier times for Wire. Oh, and hats off to Builth Wells Wire for getting the Grand Final score exactly right - respect!
