I'm pretty sure the appointed ref will have his mojo back in time for the upcoming Saints v Wire game .The famous Saints "line speed" will be in evidence with copious forward passes involved & Walmsley will be moving off the mark at every opportunity.

Hang on Walmsley moves off the mark never seen that

If you look at the sheer volume of decisions that have gone against us in four games, it's hard not to think that. The facts are that Saints humiliated the RFL with the Knowles fiasco last season and it showed how incompetent a ship the RFL run. They are smarting from that and are hammering us. If you think the RFL is too professional for that to happen you need to have a think. Whilst I doubt it's a deliberate campaign, I have no doubt that everyone involved in the disciplinary process hates Saints right now over that as they all had their pants pulled down. If you think referees are above being dishonest I suggest you look at some of the Mark Clattenburg interviews and interviews with former referees in general. They talk openly about wanting certain teams to win games and about hating certain players. Referees and disciplinary committees are people and are open to the same biases, jealousies and hatred as we all are. There isn't a pre-conceived conspiracy, but we're certainly not going to get any favours this season.

Sweet Baby Jesus!

What is it with Saints fans blaming refs for every defeat but their own team’s ability through ailing fitness in depth and poor discipline!? :
IDEA:

St Helens probably don’t remotely rival the current weight of penalties given by the likes of structured teams like Salford and Huddersfield have been getting.

Wire had the season from hell in 2022, and went through god knows how many injuries and suspensions along the way…I can’t recall any fan of here blaming the referee for it!! :SHOOT:

Blimey, Saddened! I don't think the RFL are losing sleep over that fiasco from last year. Times have moved on. You make it sound like every ref has had a memo from upstairs to 'get our own back on Saints', say everyone at the RFL 'hates Saints' but that it isn't deliberate? Paronoia much? You've simply had it far too good for far too long. Every team comes down to earth after a while. I'm sure you'll still be in the mix come October. We're due to knock you out of the playoffs again soon, surely your benevolent and magnanimous chairman can moan about that again next time.

I digress. It not like a Saints fan to think the entire league structure revolves around Saints now, is it? Spare us.

Saints are suffering from a few things here.
A lot of players were involved in the world cup officiated by some NRL officials then spent 2 games down under playing to NRL rules that we know are interpreted differently. So they have had to up their game to that intensity.
Then they come back here after their magnificent achievements and travelling half way round Asia and dare I say it, they have looked a bit heavy legged. A bit tired and a bit slower.
Now playing to different rules at a lower intensity and the ball players are afforded more protection.
From some of the incidents I have seen the players were a split second late and looked like they knew they were going to be late but made the challenge anyway because they were probably frustrated that they were not going to time the challenge right.
The mistake Saints have made is that they should have played a team full of kids against Cas and give everybody a full week off. They were always going to struggle after the trip to Aus. They will still be the team to beat this year but they do need to keep Roby fit because I think they lose their way a bit when he is not playing.

This is like a very messy public breakup isn't it, saints, the superleague referees and the judiciary panel had a very happy best friends since primary school sort of relationship, but saints got abusive, always wanting more and more and now they've gone too far and took the pee put of their mates publicly. It seems that nowadays the officials and disciplinary panel like all the clubs just the same. Saints, in true saints fashion realising the absolute horror of a level playing field, have taken it really, really badly and are making it worse.

Saints will still win the league and lls, possibly the challenge cup too, then the rest of the league get to witness what gracious winners they are as well. I've been mightily impressed recently, saints fans leading the way with a shining example of how to behave when things dont go their way, totally accepting 2 defeats with utmost dignity.

That should've been a Hudds penalty for holding down, instead saints get the scrum for a knock on and then saints score from the forward pass. Due to the juggle, Hurrell overran that pass. Joke. Where's Saddened to claim the refs hate saints?!

Update: Hurrells tip off for the second looked a tad forward and looked like Makinsons heel hit the touchline. At least the home fans thought so.

Look apart from the million posts here and on virtual terrace Saddened must have sent a million e-mails to the RFL so they had to give them something. Even Sky tried to help out when Giants were given a penalty but Sky graphics said penalty to Saints.

And don’t threat he will be here later with his analysis.

How did we concede 16 points to Giants, they look absolutely clueless in last 20 meters.
