Isn't the coach appointed by the Board, not the CEO?

It is a fair point. The CEO is on the Board but there has to be some collective responsibility about major decisions so when me and others on here are moaning about KF really he's just a proxy for the Board.

KF has made himself a lightning rod because he's the one who talks publicly and some of his statements have backfired. When every year, your line is "last year was not acceptable for a club of our ambition and we must do better", there comes a point when people ask who is responsible for us doing better and why are we in the same position year after year.

In fairness, as Catpiss often notes, the embarrassing attempts to wind up rival clubs were a thing of the past, KF hasn't been doing that for a year or so now.

I don't have a personal vendetta against KF I just don't think this job is the right one for him. When he's been on the radio talking about the state of the game and where the game should go in future, I think he speaks very well. Much better than some of the unimaginative suits we've had at the RFL over the years. He has passion for the game and ideas to make the product better, if they said KF was leaving Wire to take up a significant position in the RFL I'd welcome it and think he would be good.

Are you donning your P&B and going out on one of a Thursday/Friday/Sunday, each week, until were well into December?

And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

Surely the CEO has to have some credit for pulling off the Inglis and Williams signings, signing up Ashton, King, Clark and Currie to new contracts etc

Okay, things haven't worked out how we'd like (again) but there's plenty of groundwork done.

Inglis signing, why? It was an awful signing.

Only in hindsight, could have been fantastic.

Like bringing & retaining Widdop - sure it's not quite all worked out, but you've got to give the CEO & board credit for some of the quality signings we've enjoyed (at times).

Also Tyrone Roberts in that case then, it didn't work out but gotta give the board credit because it could have been great if he'd won MoS.
