How on earth is Ashton getting drilled after Stefans performance and the ridiculous decision to play D Clark. Deserved to be laughed at tonight, the worst of all our losses and I've been at many a howler. Tonight showed the worth of a coach, team of journeymen against supposed superstars and they wiped the floor with us.

Chris Hill deserved better, but I'm glad that's done. A sorry end to a largely sorry era.

Can't wait for the usual faces to back up "Pricey", "Hendo" "Briersy" "Jace" et al.

For all their money, our board are as bad. Loadsamoney, no idea what to do with it.

Bury your heads in the sand as much as you like, happy clappers. We have BIG problems

Embarrassed by that lot tonight. All of the worst traits of Steve Price's Warrington distilled into an 80 minute masterclass.

We started off with a completely predictable and monotonous gameplan of one-out runs down the middle. When that failed, plan B of playing like headless chickens kicked in with the usual results. Did anyone see the coach, captain or even any senior player talk or say anything during the game! They all just seemed to stare into the middle distance, bewildered.

Well that sets the bench pretty low for the incoming coach

Any coach that makes Jack Hughes captain makes all that possible.

Re: Tonight’s game v HKR : Fri Sep 24, 2021 9:03 pm
Lets be honest - through the season how many of us have argued the case that we have a top squad, with all those 'England internationals', debated threads about whether Ratchford is the best Wire signing of the SL era, hailed every contract extension as 'great news for the club', and talked about how great our youth system is because X players in our first team came through the Academy.

The honest truth is the squad is not as good as we like to think. It's not a title winning squad. Should it be able to beat Hull KR, yes. But this isn't a major upset. There are no leaders in this squad that a champion squad will have, it has been this way for the duration of Price's time.

We need a fair bit of rebuilding. I was encouraged by the appointment of Daryl Powell, but I am not really enthused by our signings for next season and given the comings and goings and injuries already sustained, I think we will go in to 2022 with a weaker squad than we had in 2021. I hope Powell can get more out of them and get them to overachieve a bit, but still I don't think we're real trophy contenders. There have been a lot of poor decisions for about 6 or 7 years now about player recruitment that will take a while to sort out.

We have not been going in the right direction since Andy Gatcliffe left. Every year we hear the same bull from KF about how last season performance was not acceptable and we're a club who aims to be the biggest of the biggest of the best etc. Every season we finish the same way.

And as the lights fade, there is Mr Moran on the touchline grinning like a maniac.

Perhaps I do him a disservice, maybe he'd just heard Take That were reforming again. Enough of the RL hobby, back to the day job SJM.

I wasn't confident going into the game, but i didn't expect it to end up with one of the worst performances i've ever seen
